I’m Meg (or Megan) Dominion. I’ve been working in the SEO and Digital Marketing field since 2016. My experience with SEO ranges from SME’s right up to Enterprise level. Based in Cape Town, South Africa I’ve created and implemented SEO strategies for companies all over the world.

I really enjoy thinking strategically about SEO, and tying it back into what a business is trying to achieve. Data is at the root of most of my thinking and planning, and I love to tell cohesive stories with the data I have available to me.

Feb – March 2023: WITSEO Mentorship Program

Acting as a mentor within this program allows me to give back to this community that has given me so much.

Jan 2023: AIRA & WITSEO State of Tehcnical SEO 2023 Report

I loved having the opportunity to review the results of the State of Technical SEO report and add in my 2 cents.

Dec 2022 – Jan 2023: Complete Web Development Course

As a technical SEO specialist, I look at a lot of code. I did this web development course to get a deeper understanding of both front-end and back-end common coding languages. I’m really exciting to look at python in more depth in the near future, especially with GA4 and bigdata capabilities.

April – July 2022: GetSmarter Head Tutor SEO Short Course

Part-time facilitator, Head Tutor and Assessor for UCT’s SEO Short Course was a great way to get to lead some great discussions on what is and isn’t SEO, and how someone just beginning to learn SEO can set themselves up to continuously be learning more about this field.

Aug 2021 – Jan 2022: Web Redesign project with Hong Kong Players

This was such a fun project with the Committee head of the Hong Kong Players, who wanted to use their website redesign as part of her thesis project. She built their new website alongside weekly calls with me to ask any questions on how to do something.
